NÆR (Nettverk for Ære og Relasjonsbygging) is a community-building and integration initiative led by Recruit Refugees. The project includes all activities and events organized under our umbrella to support refugees and immigrants in building relationships, accessing opportunities, and feeling a sense of belonging.

NÆR is a weekly event program that provides a welcoming and inclusive space for refugees, immigrants, and norwegians to connect through shared experiences. The program aims to reduce social isolation and build trust across communities through low-barrier events centered around food, language, culture, movement, and conversation.

Events are offered in both recurring formats (such as monthly gatherings) and one-time sessions that respond to specific needs, partnerships, or themes.

Grounded in collaboration, NÆR is co-created with local facilitators, cultural partners, volunteers, and community spaces to ensure each event is inclusive, meaningful, and impactful.
